Job Title: SEN Teacher
Location: Robins Way School, Amesbury, SP4 8JT
Hours: 37.5 hours per week | Monday to Friday | 8.00am – 4.30pm
Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum (depending on experience, not pro rata)
Contract: Permanent | Term Time Only
Start: September 2026

About the Role

As an SEN Teacher, you will plan and deliver individualised lessons that inspire progress across all areas of learning. You will work closely with colleagues and support staff to design innovative learning activities, personalise programmes for each student, and foster a culture of independence and self-regulation.

Your role will involve assessing and tracking student progress, implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Individual Behaviour Plans (IBPs), and ensuring the classroom environment meets the diverse needs of all learners.

Key Responsibilities

Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality learning experiences for individual students or small groups in line with the School’s Curriculum Framework

Track, record, and report on student progress and communicate outcomes with relevant stakeholders

Contribute to initiatives supporting the School Development Plan and continuous improvement

Promote the physical, educational, and moral development of students in accordance with Company and School policies

Design and implement personalised learning programmes to ensure sustained progression for each student

Coordinate the teaching, assessment, recording, and reporting of designated subjects or areas of learning across key stages

Develop, implement, and review IEPs, IBPs, and other personalised support plans collaboratively

Organise classroom resources to create a stimulating, safe, and supportive learning environment

Plan and implement activities in accordance with risk assessments to ensure student safety on and off site

Ensure Learning Support Assistants, Tutors, Instructors, and care staff are well-briefed, effectively deployed, and equipped

Manage challenging behaviour positively, fostering independence and self-regulation in students

Who We’re Looking For

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) essential

Experience teaching children with SEN or complex needs (desirable)

Excellent communication, organisation, and team-working skills

Compassionate, patient, and adaptable, with a genuine commitment to supporting every child

a Full UK Driving Licence
