Henderson Brown are partnering with a leading FMCG business in Buckinghamshire to recruit an Engineering Manager. This is a key leadership role which offers the opportunity to lead a multi-skilled team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, driving reliability and efficiency. You will enhance maintenance strategy, improve equipment performance, and lead CAPEX and improvement projects to boost productivity, reduce downtime, and support ongoing business growth.

Salary - £65k plus 10% bonus

Location - Buckinghamshire

Hours - Monday to Friday with flexibility

Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day engineering operations, leading and supporting a team to maintain high levels of equipment performance and operational efficiency.
Drive maximum uptime across all production and critical assets through structured maintenance planning and swift fault resolution.
Respond effectively to breakdowns, identifying root causes and implementing sustainable fixes to reduce repeat issues.
Champion Health & Safety, Food Safety, and Quality standards, ensuring full compliance through strong leadership and engagement.
Manage preventative maintenance programmes, shutdowns, CAPEX projects, and site improvements to optimise reliability and long-term asset performance.
Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and internal departments, ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with company standards.
Track and improve engineering performance through KPI management, budget control, and continuous improvement methodologies.Requirements

Experience operating within FMCG or highly automated production environments.
Ability to interpret technical documentation such as schematics and engineering drawings to support maintenance and troubleshooting.
Proven leadership capability with experience developing and managing high-performing engineering teams.
Effective problem-solving skills, with the ability to perform under pressure and drive improvements.
Experience managing engineering budgets, CAPEX delivery, and performance metrics.
