Role Overview – CNC Setter Operator
We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Operator to join a well-established precision engineering business in High Wycombe. This is a hands-on role for an experienced engineer with a strong background in the manufacture of compression springs, tension springs, torsion springs and wireforms.
The successful candidate will have proven experience setting, operating and optimising CNC spring-making machinery, taking responsibility for machine setup, tooling, production quality and process improvements. You will play a key role in ensuring customer specifications are met while maintaining high standards of efficiency, accuracy and workmanship throughout the manufacturing process.
Key Duties – CNC Operator
Manufacture compression springs, tension springs, torsion springs and wireforms to customer specifications and tolerances
Set, operate and adjust CNC spring-making machines to achieve optimal production output
Interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications and production requirements
Carry out tooling changes, machine setup and process adjustments where required
Perform metal forming and manipulation processes using a variety of workshop equipment and hand tools
Operate additional workshop machinery including mills, lathes, grinders and guillotines as required
Inspect, measure and verify finished components using appropriate measuring equipment
Troubleshoot manufacturing issues and implement corrective actions to maintain quality and efficiency
Requirements – CNC Operator
Proven experience manufacturing compression springs, tension springs, torsion springs and/or wireforms
Experience operating and setting CNC spring-making machines
Strong understanding of spring manufacturing processes and tooling
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and engineering specifications
Experience using precision measuring equipment and quality inspection processes
Good mechanical aptitude with strong problem-solving skills
Experience within a precision engineering or metalworking environment
