Crew Coordinator
Lowestoft £14.82+ per hour DOE + Overtime
40 hours per week | Temporary for a minimum of 3 months
Tuesday to Friday | 5:00am starts
This is an exciting opportunity for an organised and proactive individual to play a key role in the daily delivery of refuse, recycling and street cleansing services. Working closely with Assistant Managers, you will help coordinate frontline crews, ensure services are fully resourced, and support the smooth running of depot operations.
This position is initially offered on a temporary basis initially for 3 months, with the potential to extend longer-term opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate daily refuse, recycling and street cleansing crews
Open the depot, issue keys and ensure services are fully resourced
Arrange sickness cover and support workforce planning
Monitor operational performance and resolve day-to-day issues
Maintain driver records, compliance documents and operational reports
Process absence, annual leave and overtime records
Order PPE and operational supplies
Support customer enquiries and service-related complaints
Promote safe working practices and ensure H&S compliance
Requirements
Previous experience in a supervisory, team leader or operations coordination role
Strong organisational and communication skills
IT literate with experience using Microsoft Office
Ability to work under pressure and manage changing priorities
Good administration and record-keeping abilities
Health & Safety awareness
Full UK driving licence preferred
Desirable Experience
Waste, recycling or street cleansing operations experience
IOSH Managing Safely qualification
Experience coordinating staff
