The Opportunity

Select Recruitment Specialists are proud to be working in partnership with Seatrium ORS – a long-standing and valued client, to find an experienced HR Advisor to join their team in Lowestoft at a genuinely exciting time.

If you've followed the local news lately, you'll know why. Seatrium ORS has just broken ground on a landmark new strategic hub at Lowestoft's PowerPark – a striking two-storey, glass-fronted building that cements the town's position as a premier UK hub for clean energy. The site already supports 50+ staff, with plans to recruit a further 30–40 people as part of their long-term growth in offshore renewables. With major contract wins under their belt, this is a business on the up – and they need an HR Advisor who can grow with them, scale the HR function from the ground up, take ownership of this exciting opportunity.

About Seatrium ORS

Part of the global Seatrium group, Seatrium ORS has been at the forefront of the offshore energy industry from its Lowestoft base since the 1960s. They deliver maintenance, repair, hook-up and commissioning solutions for the offshore wind sector, and their recent track record speaks for itself – including major contract wins on flagship offshore wind projects such as Hornsea 2 and Sofia, and a framework agreement with TenneT to supply HVDC systems for offshore wind projects in the Netherlands.

With a port on the doorstep, a highly skilled local workforce and major offshore wind developments close by, Lowestoft is exactly where they plan to keep growing – and they're investing heavily in their people to make it happen.

The Role – Three Key Priorities

Drive manager engagement – provide support and ensure completion of 121s and appraisals across all departments. You'll need to work well under pressure and bring structure to a fast-paced environment.
Own the Corporate Social Responsibility strategy – identify community projects and funding schemes that align with company values and strengthen their local presence.
Strengthen the apprenticeship scheme – raise awareness, create robust processes, and position it as a key talent pipeline for the business as it grows.
Additionally:

Partnering with their outsourced HR Consultant on policies and processes
Providing generalist HR support as the business scales
Please Note – Fully Site-Based Role

This role is based full-time on site in Lowestoft. There is no working from home or hybrid option, and this is non-negotiable. It reflects the nature of the business – this is a hands-on role at the heart of a busy operational site, working face-to-face with managers, apprentices and teams every day. If you love being visible, present and in the thick of it, please read on.
