A well-established manufacturer with an excellent reputation is seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their production team.
Shift Pattern: Day Shift – 6am – 6pm | 4 days on, 4 days off
The Role
We are looking for an experienced maintenance professional who thrives in a fast-paced production environment, combines strong technical expertise with excellent problem-solving skills, and is committed to maintaining the highest standards of equipment performance and safety.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
You will take ownership of critical production machinery and drive performance excellence through:
Maintenance & Operations:
* Plan and execute comprehensive preventive and reactive maintenance across all production equipment
* Optimise machine performance, safety, and availability
* Set up and operate production equipment to specification
* Maintain high-quality tooling and spare parts inventory
Performance & Improvement:
* Actively participate in Lean Manufacturing initiatives and continuous improvement projects
* Analyse performance data to identify and justify process enhancements
* Collaborate effectively with manufacturing teams through clear communication and shift handovers
The Candidate
Essential Qualifications & Skills:
* NVQ Level 3 (minimum) in an Engineering discipline
* 3+ years’ hands-on engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
* Good electrical skills with practical experience in fault finding, repairs, and maintenance
* Experience with pneumatics
* Proven experience with production equipment setup and fault diagnosis
Nice to Have:
* 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671)
* PLC experience (diagnostics, and troubleshooting)
