Prospero Teaching are currently seeking an Outreach Tutor to support students across the St Helens area!
The Opportunity
We are looking for qualified and experienced tutors to provide high-quality 1:1 tuition. This is an excellent opportunity to make a real difference by helping students improve their confidence, close learning gaps, and achieve their academic goals.
Tutors will work with students in a one-to-one setting, delivering engaging and personalised lessons that are tailored to each learner's individual needs and ability. Many of the students may require additional support due to missed education, anxiety, or other barriers to learning, so patience and adaptability are essential.
Position Details
* Location: St Helens
* Position: Outreach Tutor
* Hours: 5-15 hours per week (flexible)
* Start Date: September 2026
* Duration: Ongoing
Experience, Training and Qualifications
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (desirable)
* Experience working with students requiring additional support, including those who are disengaged from education or have SEND, is advantageous
* UK teaching or tutoring experience
* A creative, patient, and flexible approach to teaching
To be eligible for this role, you must:
* Hold the right to work in the UK
* Hold an enhanced DBS certificate registered with the Update Service or be willing to process a new application
* Provide two professional references related to working with children or young people
