Prospero Teaching is looking for a Specialist Outreach Tutor to join our team in the Liverpool area!

The Opportunity

We are seeking experienced and qualified tutors and mentors to deliver tailored 1:1 support for students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

This role combines academic tuition with mentoring. Tutors will deliver core curriculum subjects while also supporting students with essential life skills, including CV writing, future planning, and developing confidence through activities and trips within the local community to encourage social integration.

As you'll be supporting students with a range of additional needs, applicants should have previous SEN experience and a strong understanding of how to adapt learning to meet individual needs.

Position Details

Location: Liverpool
Role: Specialist Outreach Tutor
Hours: 5-15 hours per week
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Ongoing
Experience, Training and Qualifications

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification
Experience working with SEND students or young people who are disengaged from education
Previous UK teaching experience
A creative, patient, and flexible approach to supporting learners
To be considered for this role, you must:

Have the right to work in the UK
Hold an enhanced DBS certificate with Children's Barred List check registered on the Update Service, or be willing to obtain one
Be able to provide two professional references relating to work with children
