Warehouse Team Leader
Location: Blackburn
Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 + 15% Shift Allowance
Shift Pattern: Double Days

Our client is a leading manufacturing business with a strong reputation for quality, innovation and continuous improvement. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an experienced Warehouse Team Leader to join their operations team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated leader looking to take ownership of a busy warehouse operation, develop a high-performing team and contribute to the ongoing success of a well-established manufacturing site.
The Role
As Warehouse Team Leader, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the warehouse operation, ensuring safety, quality and productivity standards are consistently achieved. You'll lead and develop your team, drive continuous improvements and work closely with other departments to ensure materials are available to support production.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, motivate and develop the warehouse team to achieve departmental objectives.
Ensure all warehouse activities are carried out safely and in accordance with company procedures and Health & Safety legislation.
Maintain high standards of quality, housekeeping and operational performance.
Manage raw material stock levels to ensure uninterrupted production.
Work closely with the Warehouse Manager to identify and implement operational improvements.
Develop, review and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and risk assessments.
Lead or support continuous improvement, energy reduction and waste management initiatives.
Ensure effective communication between warehouse, production and other departments.
Conduct regular shift briefings and communicate key business updates to the team.
Manage employee performance, appraisals, absence and disciplinary matters in line with company procedures.
Support recruitment, onboarding and ongoing development of warehouse personnel.
Ensure production plans and customer requirements are achieved through effective resource planning.

We're looking for a hands-on leader with a strong warehouse background who can inspire a team while maintaining excellent operational standards.
Essential Requirements
Previous experience in a Warehouse Team Leader, Warehouse Supervisor or similar leadership role.
Proven experience leading teams within a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and best practice.
Excellent people management and team motivation skills.
Experience managing performance, attendance and employee development.
Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
Good communication skills with the ability to build relationships across departments.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word and Outlook.
