You've built strong relationships with journalists and know how to turn complex topics into stories that generate meaningful coverage.
You have experience leading PR and corporate communications within financial services, wealth management or another regulated environment.
If this sounds like you, read on.
We're looking for an experienced PR & Corporate Communications Manager to lead and elevate Benchmark's public relations, corporate communications and external engagement strategy.
This is a high-impact role where you'll shape how Benchmark is perceived across the financial services sector. You'll be responsible for developing compelling stories, building media relationships, enhancing executive profiles and driving awareness of our adviser solutions, financial planning proposition and broader corporate narrative.
You'll combine strategic thinking with hands-on delivery, identifying opportunities to earn attention, influence industry conversations and strengthen Benchmark's position as a leading voice in financial planning and adviser support.
What you'll do
Develop and deliver Benchmark's PR and corporate communications strategy
Secure high-quality media coverage across trade, consumer and business publications
Transform complex financial services topics into compelling stories and thought leadership content
Lead campaigns supporting key business priorities, including acquisitions, adviser recruitment, product launches and strategic initiatives
Build strong relationships with journalists, editors, influencers and industry commentators
Support and develop executive profiling and employee advocacy programmes
Manage Benchmark's social media and thought leadership presence
Identify new channels, audiences and opportunities to increase brand awareness and engagement
Provide communications support and guidance to senior stakeholders across the business
Support reputation management and communications planning
Monitor, analyse and report on media performance and campaign effectiveness
The knowledge, experience and qualifications you need
You'll likely be working as a PR Manager, Corporate Communications Manager or Senior PR Executive within financial services, professional services or another regulated environment.
You'll have:
Proven experience in PR, media relations or corporate communications
A track record of securing impactful media coverage and engagement
Strong news sense and the ability to identify compelling stories and media opportunities
Excellent copywriting, editorial and storytelling skills
Experience working with senior stakeholders and subject matter experts
An understanding of digital PR, social media and content amplification
Strong analytical skills with the ability to measure impact and report on outcomes
Outstanding organisational skills and attention to detail
The confidence to challenge, influence and guide stakeholders.
The base
You'll be based at the Benchmark Head Office, within our Broadlands Business Campus near Horsham in West Sussex but may need to be present across our other offices around the UK from time to time. Our Campus has high standards and international reputation, without being in the city: a big, countryside campus means life will feel a little different.
We support our offices by using cutting edge software and hardware and our spacious campus facilities mean there's a great working environment for the team. With an on-site restaurant, coffee shop and gym, our campus has much to offer. And commuters can relax on our dedicated regular shuttle bus to and from Horsham’s main line train station
