Working Hours: 08:30am to 16:00pm
My client is seeking dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistants to join a welcoming primary school in Lambeth, supporting pupils within a specialist Autism Unit.
This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about helping children with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) reach their full potential in a nurturing and supportive environment. There is an excellent opportunity for the successful candidate to secure a permanent position with the school.
The Role
Provide one-to-one and small group support to children with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC).
Support pupils with both verbal and non-verbal autism, adapting communication strategies to meet individual needs.
Encourage positive behaviour, engagement, and independence throughout the school day.
Work closely with teachers, SEN professionals, and therapists to deliver tailored support.
Help create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.The Ideal Candidate
Previous experience supporting children with autism in a school, nursery, or care setting is essential.
Experience working with children with verbal and non-verbal autism.
Patient, caring, resilient, and able to build positive relationships with children.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
