Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
Location: Stafford (ST16 3UB)
Salary: Up to £38,000 per annum
Job Type: Permanent
Working Hours: Monday to Thursday, 8:00am – 5:00pm | Friday, 8:00am – 12:00pm
The Opportunity
We are recruiting for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a leading facilities management provider on a large industrial site in Stafford.
This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a growing engineering team on a contract that has been established for just over a year and continues to expand. You'll work alongside a close-knit team in a varied role carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance while benefiting from ongoing training and career development.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPMs) and reactive maintenance across the site.
* Maintain and repair a range of mechanical building services equipment.
* Undertake maintenance on HVAC systems, including AHUs and associated plant.
* Complete general plumbing and mechanical maintenance tasks.
* Carry out fault finding and repairs on mechanical systems.
* Assist with basic building fabric maintenance where required.
* Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with site health and safety procedures.
* Accurately complete maintenance reports and job documentation.
* Build positive working relationships with the client and wider engineering team.
About You
* City & Guilds or NVQ Level 2/3 in Mechanical Engineering, Plumbing, Building Services, or a related discipline.
* Previous experience within building services or facilities maintenance.
* Good mechanical fault-finding and maintenance skills.
* Experience working on industrial or commercial sites is desirable.
* Able to work independently and as part of a team.
* Strong communication skills with a proactive approach to maintenance.
