SC Cleared Oracle Functional Consultant (Inside IR35)

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Oracle Functional Consultant to join our team for a critical, long-term engagement. The successful candidate will provide expert functional guidance across our ERP, Finance, HCM, and Supply Chain modules. You will play a key role in ensuring our Oracle environment is optimized, scalable, and aligned with modern business best practices.

• Role Type: Contract (Inside IR35)
• Security Clearance: SC Clearance is mandatory and must be active/valid at the time of deployment.
• Location: Hybrid (2-3 days onsite per week in Birmingham or London).
• Start Date: Mid-August 2026.
• Duration: Initial contract until end of 2026, with a strong possibility of extension into 2027.

Key Responsibilities

• Solution Design & Configuration: Lead the design, configuration, and testing of Oracle Cloud/EBS modules across Finance, HCM, and SCM.
• Requirements Gathering: Conduct detailed workshops with business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into functional specifications.
• Process Optimization: Propose configuration-led solutions that align with Oracle Modern Best Practice, minimizing the need for custom development.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a bridge between technical teams and business SMEs, providing clear, actionable advice to senior management.
• Compliance & Governance: Ensure all functional changes are documented and adhere to strict project governance and security standards.
• Issue Resolution: Diagnose and resolve complex functional issues, supporting UAT and post-implementation phases.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Core Competency: Proven track record as a Functional Consultant with deep expertise in at least two of the following: Finance, HCM, or Supply Chain.
• Clearance Requirement: Must hold active UK Security Check (SC) clearance.
• Oracle Proficiency: Extensive experience in Oracle Fusion Cloud or Oracle EBS (R12).
• Consulting Excellence: Strong analytical skills, a "go-getter" attitude, and the ability to articulate complex technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders.
• Environment: Experience working within highly regulated or government-sector environments is highly desirable.
• Delivery Focused: Ability to deliver high-quality documentation (BR100/Functional Specs) and maintain clear audit trails.
