Remote (Anywhere in EU) | 6-Month Contract | Financial Services

I'm currently working with a leading organisation within the financial services sector that is looking to engage an experienced Venafi SME to support a major security and certificate management programme.

This is an excellent opportunity to work within a highly regulated environment, helping to strengthen enterprise PKI and certificate life cycle management capabilities.

Strong daily rate available.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the implementation, integration, and ongoing management of the Venafi platform across enterprise environments.
• Work closely with Security and Infrastructure teams to deliver robust certificate life cycle management solutions.
• Provide technical expertise across PKI, digital certificates, and certificate automation.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop and implement PKI strategies aligned to business and security objectives.
• Drive improvements to certificate issuance, renewal, and revocation processes.
• Promote best practices in key management, encryption, and secure communications.
• Troubleshoot issues relating to digital certificates, encryption, and platform integrations.
• Produce technical documentation and provide knowledge transfer where required.

Essential Experience

• 5+ years' experience in Information Security with a strong focus on PKI and digital certificate management.
• Proven hands-on experience administering and supporting Venafi in enterprise environments.
• Strong understanding of security standards, governance, and compliance frameworks.
• Previous experience working within a regulated industry, ideally Financial Services.

Desirable Skills

• Automation experience using PowerShell or Python.
• Knowledge of AWS and/or Azure security services.
• Experience managing TLS/SSL certificate life cycles.
• Understanding of HSM integration and secure key storage.

A degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related discipline is desirable.
