Job Title: Aerospace & Defense Contracts Administrator
Location: Leicester, UK
Job Type: Full-time contract, 6 months
Work Model: onsite

Position Summary:
The Aerospace & Defense Contracts Administrator is responsible for the preparation, review, negotiation, and administration of complex government, commercial, and international contracts. This role ensures contractual compliance with various government regulations (including US Dept of Defense FAR/DFARS), company policies, and customer requirements while supporting program execution and minimizing contractual risk.

Key Responsibilities:
Contract Administration & Management
Prepare, review, and administer aerospace and defense contracts, subcontracts, NDAs, and modifications
Support the full contract life cycle from proposal through closeout
Develop/Maintain accurate contract records, files, and compliance documentation
Track contractual deliverables, funding, milestones, and reporting requirements

Regulatory & Compliance
Ensure compliance with US, UK and other applicable government regulations
Interpret contractual terms and conditions and advise internal stakeholders on obligations and risk
Support internal and external audits related to contract compliance

Negotiation & Risk Mitigation
Assist in negotiating contract terms, conditions, pricing structures, and amendments
Identify contractual risks and recommend mitigation strategies
Collaborate with Legal, Finance, Supply Chain, and Program Management to resolve contractual issues

Program & Stakeholder Support
Serve as the primary contracts point of contact for assigned programs
Provide contract interpretation and guidance to program teams throughout execution
Support proposal development, including RFP/RFQ reviews and contract review boards

Subcontracts & Supplier Coordination
Review and administer subcontracts to ensure flow-down of required government clauses
Coordinate with Supply Chain to resolve subcontractor performance or compliance issues

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Law, Engineering, or related field
3-7+ years of contracts administration experience in the aerospace and defense industry
Experience supporting U.S. Government, DoD, UK MoD and other allied nation defence departments and/or aerospace commercial contracts
Excellent written, verbal, and negotiation skills

Preferred Qualifications:
Contract Management certification (CCM, etc)
Experience with various contract vehicles (aerospace and defence manufacturing, long term, life of type, government based, fixed or variable pricing, battle of forms methodology, etc)
Familiarity with ITAR/EAR export compliance
Experience supporting classified or restricted programs
Proficiency with contract life cycle management principles and ERP and Customer relationship Management systems (eg, Salesforce, SAP, Oracle, etc)

Key Skills & Competencies:
Contract interpretation and risk assessment
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
Strong cross-functional collaboration skills
Discretion in handling sensitive and proprietary information

Work Environment & Additional Requirements
Must be able to comply with export control regulations
