An established project delivery organisation is looking for an experienced Project Planner to support complex programmes across a technical and regulated environment.
This role will suit someone with strong hands-on planning experience who can build and maintain detailed programmes, work closely with delivery teams and provide clear information to support project decisions.
The position offers a mix of remote working and attendance in Dorset. Some travel may be required depending on project needs.
Applicants must be British citizens and able to obtain and maintain UK security clearance.
What you will be doing
Create, update and maintain detailed project programmes
Monitor progress, milestones and schedule risk
Work with project and commercial teams to understand change and its effect on delivery
Support planning meetings and provide clear programme reporting
Coordinate inputs from internal teams and external delivery partners
Review programme information for accuracy and consistency
Help identify delays, dependencies and practical mitigation actions
Key requirements
Practical experience in a Project Planner, Planning Engineer or similar role
Strong experience using a dedicated planning tool such as P6, MS Project or similar
Experience producing and maintaining detailed project schedules
Understanding of contract management, project change and schedule impact
Confidence working with technical, commercial and delivery stakeholders
Clear communication and reporting skillsExperience with NEC contracts would be useful. Relevant experience with other contract forms and formal change control processes will also be considered.
Security eligibility
British citizenship is essential for this role. Applicants must also be willing and able to complete the required UK security clearance process. Existing clearance is not essential
