We are looking for an SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEND school. This is an exciting opportunity to support children and young people with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and complex learning needs in a nurturing, purpose-built environment where every pupil is supported to reach their full potential.

The school delivers a personalised curriculum based around pupils' Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), with a strong focus on developing communication, wellbeing, independence and achievement. Pupils also benefit from specialist therapeutic support, including Speech and Language Therapy (SALT), Occupational Therapy (OT) approaches and close multi-agency working.

The Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
* Support pupils with Autism and complex learning needs both in and out of the classroom
* Work closely with teachers to deliver personalised learning linked to EHCP outcomes
* Encourage communication, independence and emotional regulation
* Use specialist approaches such as TEACCH, PECS, Makaton, Attention Autism and Team Teach (training provided where required)
* Support pupils with sensory regulation and structured daily routines
* Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists and families to provide the best outcomes for every pupil
* Help create a positive, calm and inclusive learning environment
About You
The ideal candidate will:
* Have experience supporting children or young people with Autism, SEND or complex learning needs
* Be patient, calm and confident working in a structured environment
* Have a genuine passion for supporting pupils with additional needs
* Be able to build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues and parents
* Have excellent communication and teamwork skills
* Hold an Enhanced Child and Adult Workforce DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for one through Uniform Education
