Senior Electrical Engineer

We’re supporting a global engineering organisation delivering complex offshore wind projects, looking to appoint a Senior Electrical Engineer with specialist experience in cable and connector systems.
This is a technically focused role working across high-voltage inter-array cable systems, covering engineering, testing, and offshore commissioning.
The Role
You’ll play a key role in ensuring the integrity, performance, and successful commissioning of offshore cable systems, working closely with both internal teams and external suppliers.
Key areas include:
* Engineering input across HV cable and connector systems
* Defining termination, testing, and commissioning procedures
* Supporting offshore installation and commissioning activities
* Coordinating with suppliers and project teams
* Specifying and overseeing testing in line with IEC / IEEE / CIGRÉ standards
* Supporting fault analysis, diagnostics, and system performance
What They’re Looking For
* Experience within offshore wind cable systems
* Strong knowledge of connectors, terminations, and commissioning/testing
* Understanding of HV testing methods (e.g. VLF, partial discharge, TDR, Tan Delta, DAC)
* Familiarity with IEC / IEEE / ISO / CIGRÉ standards
* Background working with subsea cables and offshore substations
* Comfortable working across both engineering and offshore environments
👉 Chartered status (or working towards) is advantageous.
