An excellent opportunity has arisen for experienced CNC Operator/s to join a highly advanced manufacturing facility where you be expected to operate a range of CNC machining centres including turning, milling and grinding equipment producing bespoke components to exact specifications.
Salary & Shift Options (please not that salaries include shift premium)
* £44.9k – Weekly rotating early & back shifts (6am–2pm / 2pm–10pm)
* £52.4k – Permanent night shift

Key Responsibilities
* Read and interpret engineering drawings, process sheets and technical specifications
* Set up and operate CNC turning, milling and grinding machinery
* Download and manage CNC programs from DNC systems
* Select and install tooling for machining operations
* Calculate feeds and speeds for a range of materials including steel, aluminium, brass and bronze
* Edit and write CNC programs where required
* Carry out dimensional and visual quality inspections using precision measuring equipment
* Apply Lean Manufacturing principles to improve productivity and reduce setup times
* Prepare finished components for dispatch including cleaning, wrapping and packaging
* Ensure all completed components are correctly identified and meet quality standards
Requirements
* Previous experience operating CNC machine tools within a precision engineering or manufacturing environment
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
* Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling and inspection methods
* Experience working with a variety of metals and materials
* Flexible approach to shift working
