The Opportunity:

anzuk is currently recruiting on behalf of a highly regarded independent co-educational school in Ealing, for a Groundsperson to join their Estates Team on a permanent, full-time basis with an immediate start.

This school prides itself on providing outstanding facilities for over 1,100 pupils aged 3–18. This role offers the opportunity to work across a superb 14-acre sports facility, maintaining high-quality rugby, cricket, hockey, tennis and netball facilities used throughout the year by pupils and visiting schools.

This is a varied, hands-on role that would suit an experienced Groundsperson who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in maintaining first-class sports facilities, and thrives in a collaborative team environment.

Salary: £30,000 - £32,000 per annum (depending on experience)

The Role of Groundsperson:

* Maintain sports pitches and playing surfaces to an exceptional standard throughout the year.

* Prepare and mark out rugby, cricket, hockey and other sports facilities for training sessions and fixtures.

* Carry out routine grounds maintenance, cultivation and landscaping work.

* Operate, maintain and care for a range of grounds maintenance machinery and irrigation equipment.

* Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with Health & Safety regulations.

* Support the smooth running of sporting fixtures, school events and lettings.

* Work closely with the Director of Sport, Head Groundsperson and wider Estates Team to ensure facilities are always match-ready.

* Assist with general upkeep of landscaped areas across the school estate.

* Help maintain site security, respond to emergencies where required, and contribute to the overall presentation of the school.

What We're Looking For:

* A full UK driving licence.

* A Level 2 qualification in Sports Turf, Groundsmanship or a related field (or equivalent experience).

* At least three years' experience maintaining sports grounds to a high standard.

* Experience preparing and maintaining cricket squares and sports pitches.

* Experience operating grounds maintenance machinery and equipment.

* Strong knowledge of seasonal sports turf maintenance.

* A good understanding of Health & Safety practices.

* Reliable, hardworking and able to work both independently and as part of a team.

* Someone who takes genuine pride in producing outstanding playing surfaces and outdoor environments.
