Are you an experienced Repairs Surveyor looking for your next contract with a leading social housing provider? We're recruiting for an experienced Repairs Surveyor to support the delivery of high-quality repairs and maintenance services across a diverse housing portfolio in Hampshire. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established housing organisation where you'll play a key role in ensuring residents receive a first-class repairs service.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out pre- and post-inspections of responsive repairs and maintenance works.
Diagnose building defects and prepare clear specifications and schedules of work.
Manage repairs through to completion, ensuring quality, value for money and customer satisfaction.
Monitor contractor performance, ensuring compliance with contractual standards and health and safety legislation.
Undertake inspections relating to disrepair, damp and mould, void properties and planned maintenance where required.
Provide technical advice to internal teams, contractors and residents.
Ensure works comply with current legislation, building regulations and organisational policies.
Maintain accurate records using housing management and asset systems.
Build positive relationships with residents and stakeholders, delivering an excellent customer experience throughout the repairs process.
About You
You'll have previous experience working as a Repairs Surveyor, Building Surveyor or Maintenance Surveyor within social housing, local authority or residential property.
Essential
Experience managing responsive repairs within social housing or residential property.
Strong knowledge of building construction, maintenance and defect diagnosis.
Experience specifying, inspecting and managing repair works.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to manage your own workload and work independently.
Full UK Driving Licence.
Desirable
HNC/HND or degree in Building Surveying, Construction or a related discipline.
Experience managing disrepair, damp and mould cases.
Knowledge of housing legislation and building regulations.
Experience using housing asset management systems.
