PK Education are working with a secondary school in Sheffield who are looking to appoint a Food Technology Teacher from September 2026.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a successful Design Technology faculty where practical learning is at the heart of the curriculum. The department benefits from modern food rooms, excellent technician support, and a strong uptake of Food Technology at KS4.
The successful candidate will teach Food Technology across KS3 and KS4, delivering engaging practical and theory lessons that develop students' confidence, creativity, and understanding of nutrition, food production, and kitchen skills.
The Role
Teaching Food Technology across KS3 and KS4
Planning and delivering engaging practical lessons
Preparing students for GCSE assessments
Monitoring student progress and providing effective feedback
Maintaining high standards of food hygiene and health & safety
Working collaboratively within the Technology faculty
What We're Looking For
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience teaching Food Technology within a secondary school
Strong practical classroom management skills
Passion for delivering engaging, hands-on lessons
Ability to motivate and inspire learners of all abilities
