Production Supervisor – CNC Machining
Salary: £38,000 to £40,000 per annum + shift allowance
Working hours: Days & Afters. Day Shift: Monday to Friday 6am - 2pm / Afters Shift: Monday to Thursday 2pm to 11pm
This is a Full time, Permanent position
We are recruiting for an experienced Production Supervisor to join a busy and growing manufacturer.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on supervisor with a strong CNC machining background who can lead from the front, support production performance, and drive quality and efficiency across the shop floor.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and support daily production activities within the CNC machining department
Lead, motivate, and develop machine operators and setters
Ensure production targets, quality standards, and delivery deadlines are achieved
Provide technical support and problem-solving on the shop floor
Monitor machining performance, downtime, and efficiency
Ensure all work is completed in line with health & safety procedures
Work closely with Engineering, Quality, and Planning teams to improve production flow and performance
Requirements:
Previous experience in a Production Supervisor or Team Leader position within precision engineering/manufacturing
Strong CNC machining background essential
Experience with 5-Axis machining centres
Strong knowledge of Fanuc and Heidenhain controls
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Excellent problem-solving and leadership skills
Hands-on approach with strong attention to detail
Experience driving continuous improvement and shop floor efficiencies
