SEN Teaching Assistant (TA)
We are looking for a caring, dedicated, and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team and support children with additional needs.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with children who are non-verbal and be passionate about helping every child reach their full potential. You will be patient, adaptable, and able to build positive, trusting relationships with pupils, staff, and families.
Essential:
Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
Experience working with non-verbal children.
A compassionate, patient, and proactive approach.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
The ability to adapt learning and support to meet individual needs.Desirable:
Knowledge and experience of Makaton.
Experience using PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System).
Understanding of alternative and augmentative communication (AAC) strategies and other communication approaches.
