We're recruiting on behalf of an automotive manufacturer for an experienced Supply Chain Engineer to join their growing team.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in ensuring the seamless flow of materials, components and information throughout the manufacturing process. You'll work closely with suppliers and cross-functional teams to improve performance, optimise processes and support the production of some of the world's most prestigious luxury vehicles.

Key Responsibilities

Manage supplier performance to ensure quality, cost and delivery targets are achieved.

Monitor material availability to support uninterrupted production.

Identify and resolve supply chain issues, minimising risk to manufacturing operations.

Analyse supply chain data and identify opportunities for process improvement.

Support new product introductions and engineering changes from a supply chain perspective.

Work collaboratively with Purchasing, Manufacturing, Logistics, Quality and Engineering teams.

Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

Coordinate supplier recovery plans and corrective actions where required.

Monitor inventory levels and optimise stock availability.

Produce reports and performance metrics to support business decision-making.

Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards and supply chain best practices.

Essential Requirements

HNC/HND or Degree in Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering or a related discipline.

Previous experience within a manufacturing or automotive supply chain environment.

Strong understanding of supply chain operations, logistics and production planning.

Experience working with suppliers and managing supplier performance.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and ERP/MRP systems.

Ability to interpret data and make informed business decisions.

Full UK Driving Licence.

Desirable Experience

Experience within the automotive or luxury manufacturing sector.

Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma or Continuous Improvement methodologies.

APICS, CIPS or equivalent supply chain qualification.

Experience supporting new product launches.

Understanding of IATF 16949 and automotive quality standards.

Familiarity with SAP or similar ERP systems.
