The Supply Register is seeking a dynamic and engaging Design Technology Lecturer to join Tyne Coast College on a full-time basis. This is an exciting opportunity to deliver high-quality teaching across Design Technology programmes, helping learners develop practical skills, creative thinking, and industry-relevant knowledge.

You will play a key role in preparing students for further study and careers within design, engineering, manufacturing, product development, and related sectors.

What You'll Be Doing

Deliver engaging and innovative lessons across Design Technology subjects.
Teach both theoretical and practical elements of the curriculum.
Support learners in developing skills in design processes, product development, manufacturing techniques, and materials.
Create a safe and stimulating workshop and classroom environment.
Assess student work and provide timely, constructive feedback.
Monitor learner progress and implement strategies to support achievement.
Prepare students for coursework, examinations, and practical assessments.
Maintain workshop equipment and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance curriculum delivery and learner outcomes.
What We're Looking For

A degree or relevant qualification in Design Technology, Product Design, Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related discipline.
A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS, or equivalent) or willingness to work towards one.
Previous teaching, training, or industry experience within a Design Technology-related field.
Strong practical and technical skills.
Knowledge of current industry practices, technologies, and design principles.
Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
A genuine passion for education and learner development.
