Overview
We are seeking a skilled FLT Counterbalance Driver to join our dynamic warehouse team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating forklift trucks safely and efficiently to manage materials handling, shipping, and receiving tasks. Duties
* Operate counterbalance forklift trucks to load, unload, and move goods within the warehouse
* Assist with shipping and receiving activities, ensuring accurate documentation and handling of materials
* Utilise warehouse management systems to track inventory movements and update records accordingly
* Conduct routine inspections and minor repairs on forklift equipment to ensure safety and operational readiness
* Handle materials with care, adhering to safety protocols for heavy lifting and manoeuvring loads
* Support the organisation of stock storage areas for optimal space utilisation and accessibility
* Assist with general warehouse duties such as order picking, packing, and stock replenishment when required
* Maintain a clean and safe working environment by adhering to health and safety standards
Qualifications
* Valid forklift licence for counterbalance trucks recognised by relevant authorities
* Proven experience in warehouse management systems and materials handling procedures
* Mechanical knowledge for basic equipment repair and troubleshooting
* Strong understanding of shipping & receiving processes within a warehouse setting
* Ability to lift heavy loads safely and perform physical tasks involving heavy lifting regularly
* Basic maths skills for inventory counts, measurements, and documentation purposes
* Previous warehouse experience is highly desirable but not essential; training will be provided where necessary
* Good organisational skills with attention to detail and safety compliance
