L2 Network Security Engineer - Krakow
Your Responsibilities
- Deliver second-level response and event management for the production network security environment
- Manage deployment of security updates and patches across Firewall and load balancer platforms
- Lead service restoration activities and drive sustainability improvements
- Participate in and often lead critical severity event calls; identify required resources and conduct comprehensive failure investigation
- Execute repeatable, standardized procedures for security service additions, modifications, and changes
- Own life cycle management of infrastructure projects and develop operational documentation
- Act as technical point of contact for peer engineers on event response and change management
- Monitor production systems to ensure continuous availability and performance
- Communicate proactively with internal business partners and stakeholders
Required Experience
- Demonstrated background in IT network operations and infrastructure management
- Experience working collaboratively within distributed, global teams
- Strong technical troubleshooting capability across network security platforms and toolsets
- Ability to establish effective working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders
Highly Valued Experience
- Hands-on expertise with Zscaler platforms (Internet Access, Private Access) and Proxy solutions such as Citrix or NSX-ALB
- Familiarity with multiple security platform ecosystems: Zscaler, Cisco, Azure, NSX-T, Fortinet, and Checkpoint
- Ability to design and deploy enterprise network security architectures and technical standards
- Understanding of compliance requirements and ability to ensure adherence to regulatory and audit frameworks
- Proficiency in translating network traffic flows and protocols into documented security policies and risk assessments
- Ability to implement and maintain security policies across Cisco, Checkpoint, Fortinet, and equivalent platforms
- Strong capability to document and present technical information to both technical and business audiences
- Project execution tracking and technical problem resolution capability
- Flexibility to shift priorities and manage workload adjustments in a transformation environment
