We are looking for an organised and enthusiastic Office Assistant to join our growing team.
The Role
As an Office Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day running of our office, providing excellent customer service and ensuring the smooth administration and general business operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Answer telephone calls and respond to customer enquiries professionally.
* Manage incoming emails and distribute correspondence.
* Prepare quotations, sales orders and invoices.
* Process customer orders accurately and efficiently.
* Liaise with customers and transport companies.
* Maintain accurate records and filing systems.
* Support the sales team with administrative tasks.
* Organise appointments and office documentation.
Skills & Experience
* Previous experience in an administrative or office assistant role.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
* Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
* Confident using computer systems and learning new software.
* Ability to prioritise tasks and work independently.
* Friendly, professional and customer-focused approach.
* Good numerical skills and accuracy when processing orders.
Desirable
* Experience using accounting software.
* Previous experience within manufacturing, construction or building materials.
* Full UK driving licence.
