Location: Sunbury-on-Thames
Salary: Circa £50,000
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm

Finance Manager – Construction
An established construction business based in Sunbury-on-Thames is looking to recruit an experienced Finance Manager to oversee the day-to-day financial operations of the company.
This is an office-based role suited to someone with a strong background in construction finance who is confident managing company accounts, ensuring compliance, and providing accurate financial reporting. Experience using Xero is essential.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage the day-to-day finance function.
* Oversee sales and purchase ledger activities.
* Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.
* Manage cash flow and company budgets.
* Process and reconcile bank accounts.
* Administer CIS returns and ensure compliance.
* Prepare and submit VAT returns.
* Manage payroll liaison where required.
* Reconcile balance sheet accounts.
* Assist with year-end accounts and liaise with external accountants.
* Monitor company expenditure and identify cost-saving opportunities.
* Ensure financial records are maintained accurately and in line with current legislation.
Requirements
* Previous experience as a Finance Manager or Senior Finance professional.
* Construction industry experience is essential.
* Strong working knowledge of CIS and VAT.
* Proficient in Xero accounting software.
* Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
* Strong communication skills with the ability to work across all levels of the business.
* Self-motivated and able to manage workloads independently.
