About the Role
We are seeking a caring, dedicated, and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join a warm and welcoming mainstream primary school in Ealing.
This role involves providing 1:1 support for a child with Special Educational Needs, helping them to access the curriculum, build confidence, develop independence, and make progress both academically and personally.
You will work closely with the class teacher, SENCo, and wider support team to deliver personalised support and create a positive, nurturing learning environment where the pupil feels safe, valued, and encouraged to thrive.
The role will include supporting the pupil with personal care needs, so we are looking for someone who is comfortable providing this support with patience, dignity, and sensitivity.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide dedicated 1:1 support for a pupil with Special Educational Needs.
* Support the pupil’s learning, communication, social development, and emotional wellbeing.

* Adapt resources and activities to meet the pupil’s individual needs.
* Support with personal care where required, ensuring the pupil’s comfort, dignity, and wellbeing.
* Encourage independence, confidence, and positive behaviour.
* Support emotional regulation and communication development.
* Work collaboratively with the class teacher, SENCo, and wider school team.
* Monitor progress and provide feedback to support the pupil’s development.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
* Previous experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs is essential.
* Experience working on a 1:1 basis within a primary school setting.
* A caring, patient, and nurturing approach.
* Confidence supporting pupils with additional needs, including personal care.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
* A willingness to learn, develop, and progress within an SEN role.
* An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or be willing to obtain one).
* Relevant qualifications such as Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent are desirable but not essential.
