SEN Teaching Assistant

We are currently working with a number of specialist schools across West and South West London who are looking to appoint dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants to join their teams.
Our partner schools include Special Educational Needs (SEN) Schools, Pupil Referral Units (PRUs), Alternative Provision Schools (APS), and Additionally Resourced Provisions (ARPs), supporting pupils aged 4-19 with a range of additional needs.
The successful candidate will support pupils with Autism (ASC), ADHD, Speech and Language needs, Moderate to Severe Learning Difficulties (MLD/SLD), Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, and complex behavioural needs.
Responsibilities
Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
Promoting positive behaviour and emotional regulation.
Assisting with learning activities tailored to individual Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
Encouraging independence, confidence and social development.
Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists and pastoral teams to ensure every pupil reaches their potential.
We are looking for candidates who have:
Previous experience working with children or young people, ideally within education, care or youth settings.
A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A patient, resilient and proactive approach.
A willingness to learn and develop within SEND education.Previous experience is desirable but not essential for candidates with transferable skills and the right attitude.
Pay: Competitive daily rates, dependent on experience, qualifications and school placement
