Business Development Manager - Road Freight
Bristol | £45,000 - £55,000 + Uncapped Commission + Company Car/Car Allowance
A well-established international freight forwarding business is looking to appoint an experienced Business Development Manager to drive the growth of its Road Freight division across the South West.
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially driven freight sales professional who enjoys winning new business, building long-term client relationships and developing bespoke European road freight solutions.
The Role
Develop new business across European Road Freight services
Identify, target and secure new customers across a variety of industry sectors
Build and manage your own sales pipeline from prospect through to account management
Work closely with the operational teams to deliver tailored logistics solutions
Attend customer meetings, networking events and industry visits across the region
Negotiate rates, prepare quotations and convert opportunities into long-term business
What We're Looking For
Proven Business Development or Field Sales experience within Freight Forwarding
Strong knowledge of European Road Freight services
Demonstrable success in winning new business and achieving sales targets
Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills
Self-motivated with the ability to manage your own territory and pipeline
