Quality Engineer - Product Quality
We are supporting a well-established precision engineering business operating within highly regulated sectors, including aerospace and defence. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to join their quality team at their Greater Manchester facility.
Purpose of the role
Ensure products meet customer specifications throughout manufacture. This role is much closer to production, inspection, engineering and manufacturing teams, resolving quality issues on components and assemblies.
Typical responsibilities
Investigate product non-conformances
Support MRB activities
Raise concessions
Complete First Article Inspection (FAIR)
Support APQP activities
Review engineering drawings and specifications
Support production and inspection teams
Resolve manufacturing quality issues
Carry out root cause investigations
Drive product quality improvements
Work with suppliers and customers on product issuesIdeal candidate
Quality Engineer
Manufacturing or aerospace background
Time-served Inspector highly desirable
Hands-on inspection experience
Strong understanding of engineering drawings
