Legal Receptionist

Location: Glasgow City Centre (Office Based)
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
Hours: Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm

The salary for this role is negotiable depending on experience, at around £25,000 - £28,000 per annum.

About the Role

We are seeking a confident, professional and highly organised Receptionist to join a busy and growing professional legal firm based in Glasgow City Centre.

As the first point of contact for clients and visitors, you will play a key role in delivering an exceptional customer experience from the moment someone engages with the business. This is more than a front desk position, you will also provide valuable administrative support to internal teams, helping to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the office.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Welcoming clients and visitors in a warm, professional manner.

Managing meeting room bookings and ensuring rooms are prepared for meetings.

Maintaining a tidy, organised and welcoming reception area.

Answering and directing incoming telephone calls efficiently.

Monitoring and responding to shared email inboxes.

Processing payments securely over the phone and online.

Providing administrative support, including setting up new matters/files and maintaining accurate records within internal systems.

Assisting with document handling, scanning and general office administration.

Liaising with colleagues across departments to support the smooth running of the office.

Maintaining confidentiality and complying with company policies and procedures.

The Successful Candidate:

We're looking for someone who understands the importance of creating a positive first impression and takes pride in delivering outstanding customer service.

You will ideally have:

A minimum of two years' experience in a client-facing reception or front-of-house role.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

A calm, confident and professional approach.

Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.

A proactive attitude and willingness to take ownership of responsibilities.

Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and telephone systems.

A genuine passion for providing excellent customer service.

Desirable (but not essential):

Experience working within a legal or professional services environment.

Experience using CRM or case management systems.
