About the Role

ACR Recruitment & Training Ltd are proud to be working with a welcoming, high-quality nursery in the Coventry/Kenilworth area, currently seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Deputy Nursery Manager to join their leadership team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Early Years professional looking to take the next step in their career. Working alongside the Nursery Manager, you'll play a key role in supporting the day-to-day running of the nursery, leading by example and helping to deliver exceptional care and education for children aged 0–5 years.

Key Responsibilities

Support the Nursery Manager with the daily operation of the nursery
Lead, motivate, and inspire the staff team to deliver outstanding Early Years practice
Ensure high-quality care and education in line with the EYFS framework
Support staff through coaching, mentoring, supervision and professional development
Monitor children's learning and development, ensuring accurate observations and assessments
Maintain high standards of safeguarding, health & safety and nursery compliance
Build strong partnerships with parents, carers and external professionals
Assist with recruitment, inductions, and staff performance reviews
Support the nursery during Ofsted inspections and contribute to continuous quality improvement
Act as the Nursery Manager in their absence when required

What We're Looking For

Essential

Level 3 Early Years qualification or above (UK recognised)
Previous experience within a senior practitioner, room leader, or deputy manager position
Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework, safeguarding and Ofsted requirements
Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
A genuine passion for delivering exceptional Early Years education and care
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
