Quality Inspector
Whitstable, Kent
Salary: DOE + Benefits, Pension, Training & Development, 25 Days Holiday
Our client, a well-established precision engineering company, is looking for a Quality C Inspector to join their engineering team. You'll be responsible for inspecting incoming materials and components, ensuring they meet engineering specifications, quality standards, and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Inspect incoming materials against drawings and specifications
* Conduct dimensional, visual, and functional inspections
* Use measuring equipment including callipers, micrometres, and gauges
* Record inspection results and maintain quality documentation
* Identify non-conformances and raise Supplier NCRs
* Liaise with suppliers and internal departments to resolve quality issues
* Support quality systems, audits, and continuous improvement activities
* Carry out first-stage inspections on customer returns
About You
* Previous quality inspection experience within manufacturing or engineering
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
* Familiar with quality processes and inspection tools (ISO 9001 desirable)
* Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
* Good IT and communication skills
* Organised, proactive, and a strong team player
