We are currently recruiting dedicated and enthusiastic Teacher Assistants to support a range of welcoming and inclusive primary and secondary schools across London. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting children's learning and development and are looking to gain valuable experience within a school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons
* Work with individual pupils or small groups to reinforce learning and encourage participation
* Assist in the preparation and organisation of classroom resources and learning materials
* Help create a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment for all pupils
* Provide support to students with a range of learning abilities and additional needs
* Encourage positive behaviour and assist with classroom management strategies
* Monitor pupils’ progress and provide feedback to teaching staff where appropriate
* Promote pupils’ confidence, independence, and social development
Requirements:
* Previous experience working with children in a school, childcare, or similar setting is desirable
* A genuine passion for education and supporting young people to achieve their potential
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* A patient, caring, and proactive approach to supporting pupils
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and follow instructions effectively
* Good organisational skills and attention to detail
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
Desirable Skills:
* Experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
* Knowledge of the UK primary or secondary curriculum
* Experience working with pupils who have additional behavioural, emotional, or learning needs
* First Aid qualification (or willingness to undertake training)
