Building Services Engineer
£42,000 - £45,000 | Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm
We're hiring for a Building Services Engineer to join the engineering team at a large, well-renowned manufacturing and engineering campus in Laindon.
The Building Services Engineer will be responsible for delivering planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs across a varied commercial estate, ensuring all building services plant operates safely and efficiently. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Mechanical / Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a stable, long-term contract with one of the UK's leading facilities management providers.
Responsibilities for a Building Services Engineer
* Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on building services plant
* Fault finding and repairing mechanical or electrical systems, depending on your bias
* Working on equipment including AHUs, FCUs, pumps, motors, HVAC systems, lighting and power distribution
* Supporting statutory compliance and ensuring plant is maintained to a high standard
* Using CAFM systems to complete work orders and maintenance records
* Working closely with the wider engineering team to ensure excellent service delivery
Building Services Engineer Requirements
* Qualified Mechanical or Electrical Engineer (City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
* Experience working within building services or facilities maintenance
* Strong fault-finding and maintenance experience on commercial building services plant
* Good understanding of health & safety and permit-to-work systems
* Client-focused with a proactive approach to maintenance
