Location: Kings Heath, Birmingham
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Part-Time, Wednesday & Friday
Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant looking for rewarding part-time opportunity in a welcoming school? We, Academics, are currently on the look out for a supportive Year 4 Teaching Assistant to join a charming Catholic primary school from September 2026.
Working in partnership with the Year 4 class teacher, you will play a vital role in supporting the pupils academic progress along with ensuring they have a positive experience in the classroom.
As a Teaching Assistant your main responsibilities will consist of:
Not only supporting the pupil's educational development but also managing and supporting the classroom alongside the designated teacher
Creating a positive and engaging atmosphere in the classroom
Providing tailored assistance for SEND pupils
Monitoring students and reporting to designated teacher when neededThe ideal candidate:
Will have a good understanding of the Catholic curriculum, with the ability to support learning within a Catholic school environment
Must be supportive of the Catholic ethos (an understanding of the RE curriculum is an advantage)
Has an Enhanced DBS (must be on the update service)
Relevant qualifications or experience within schools
