Are you a caring, patient and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding part-time role within a welcoming primary school?

We are currently recruiting for a Year 4 SEN Teaching Assistant to support a non-verbal pupil who is currently working academically at a Reception level. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a genuine difference to a child's educational journey within a supportive and nurturing school environment.

The position is based within a Good-rated primary school that prides itself on its inclusive ethos, strong leadership and supportive staff team.

The Role

* Providing dedicated 1:1 support for a Year 4 pupil with additional needs.

* Supporting a non-verbal child with learning activities and daily routines.

* Adapting learning activities to meet the pupil's individual needs and abilities.

* Working closely with the class teacher, SENCO and wider support staff.

* Promoting independence, engagement and positive learning experiences.

* Monitoring progress and providing feedback to teaching staff.

Working Pattern

* Monday – Full Day

* Tuesday – Full Day

* Wednesday – Morning Only

* 2.5 days per week

* September 2026 start

* Long-term position for the full academic year

The Ideal Candidate

* Experience working with children with SEND, either in a school, nursery or care setting.

* Experience supporting pupils with communication difficulties or non-verbal learners is highly desirable.

* Patient, compassionate and able to build positive relationships with children.

* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

* Ability to adapt learning activities to support individual needs.

* A genuine passion for helping children achieve their potential.
