HR Assistant
Location: Whetstone
Salary: £35,000–£40,000 (pro rata)
Hours: 37.5–40 hours per week (part-time considered)
Contract: Temporary (Ongoing)
Key Responsibilities
* Supported the HR Director with daily HR operations, administration, and ongoing HR projects.
* Provided HR guidance to managers and employees, ensuring compliance with UK employment legislation, company policies, and HR best practices.
* Assisted with recruitment, onboarding, employment contracts, offer letters, inductions, and maintaining job descriptions.
* Supported employee relations by preparing documentation, attending disciplinary and grievance meetings, taking confidential notes, and assisting with absence and performance management.
* Helped develop, review, and communicate HR policies and procedures, ensuring employee handbooks remained up to date and legally compliant.
* Coordinated training activities, monitored mandatory training compliance, and supported employee development and wellbeing initiatives.
* Maintained accurate HR records while handling confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
Skills & Experience
* CIPD Level 3 (or equivalent HR experience).
* Experience in HR administration, recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and performance management.
* Strong understanding of UK employment law, excellent organisational and communication skills, and the ability to manage confidential information.
Desirable
* Experience with Workday HR systems, recruitment agencies, international HR practices, and manufacturing, engineering, or corporate environments
