Connect Appointments is recruiting an Operations Manager to join an established food distribution business based in Uphall.
This is a hands-on senior leadership role overseeing all warehouse and transport operations across the site - ideal for an experienced warehouse and team manager ready to take the next step up, who leads from the front and isn't afraid to get stuck in to get the job done.
What's on offer?
Full-time permanent position
Monday to Friday, 6am to 3pm (possible occasional Saturday morning cover)
£40,000 to £45,000 per annum - dependent on experienceAs an Operations Manager, your responsibilities will include:
Leading and managing the warehouse and transport teams to deliver high operational standards
Overseeing driver pre-briefs, vehicle checks and route despatch to ensure deliveries run efficiently
Managing goods in, stock rotation and inventory integrity with accurate reporting
Driving continuous improvement in pick accuracy, stock presentation and operational performance
Taking full ownership of site hygiene, food safety and health and safety compliance
Planning resource, managing staffing levels and monitoring KPIs and performance reportingTo be considered as an Operations Manager, you will need:
A minimum of 5 years leadership experience in warehouse management, ideally within FMCG or food distribution
Strong knowledge of stock and inventory processes and proficiency with ERP systems
Experience managing multifunctional teams in a fast-paced environment
Food Safety, HACCP and IOSH qualifications are advantageous
