Are you an experienced finance professional with a proven track record of building manufacturing cost models within the food manufacturing sector?
We're seeking a commercially focused Finance Cost Modelling Manager to lead the development and implementation of a robust manufacturing costing model across multiple UK manufacturing sites. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in shaping commercial decision-making, improving costing accuracy, and influencing business profitability.
Working closely with Finance, Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain and Commercial teams, you'll analyse manufacturing data, challenge assumptions, and build a sustainable costing framework that supports pricing, margin improvement and operational performance.
The Role
As Finance Cost Modelling Manager, you will:
Lead the design, development and implementation of a manufacturing cost model.
Gather, cleanse and validate manufacturing cost data from multiple systems.
Develop and standardise costing methodologies across products and manufacturing processes.
Analyse material, labour and overhead costs to ensure accurate product costing.
Validate Bills of Materials (BOMs), production routings and manufacturing assumptions.
Build financial models and carry out sensitivity analysis to assess cost drivers.
Present findings and recommendations to finance and operational leadership teams.
Partner with stakeholders across Finance, Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain and Commercial functions.
Support the business in establishing a sustainable costing framework for future decision-making.About You
You'll be a commercially minded finance professional who thrives in a manufacturing environment and has successfully delivered similar projects before.
You'll ideally have:
Essential: Previous experience building and implementing manufacturing cost models within food manufacturing.
Strong understanding of standard costing principles and manufacturing finance.
Experience analysing material, labour and overhead costs.
Excellent financial modelling and advanced Excel skills.
Experience working with ERP systems and manufacturing data.
Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) or equivalent experience is desirable.What's on Offer?
