We are delighted to be assisting out client, a leading global consultancy specialising in construction engineering and operations, in their search for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a major joint venture delivering works on part of HS2.
About the Role
You'll bring strong pre and post-contract management and procurement experience within the UK rail sector, supporting the design team through the early stages of a major infrastructure project. Candidates with a Rail, Infrastructure, Highways, Construction, Utilities or Energy background are encouraged to apply; MEP experience is beneficial but not essential.
Key Responsibilities
NEC3/4 Option C contract management and administration
Reviewing and valuing contractor payment applications
Managing subcontractor accounts and commercial records
Drafting contract communications, including Early Warning Notices and Compensation Events
Providing contractual and commercial risk advice
Leading commercial reporting across allocated projects
Supporting and developing junior commercial team membersAbout You
Degree educated
Main contractor, consultancy and/or joint venture experience
Strong NEC3/4 contract administration experience (A/C/E essential); CEMAR desirable
Skilled in assessing high-value Compensation Events
Proven experience in change, risk and financial management
Confident negotiating and procuring sub-contract packages
