Sales Executive - Aerospace
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a commercially driven Sales Executive to join a growing aerospace business specialising in the sourcing, manufacture and integration of aircraft components for civil and defence customers.
This is a varied role with a 70/30 split between Key Account Management and New Business Development, focused on building long-term customer relationships while identifying new opportunities across the aerospace sector. Working closely with engineering, procurement and manufacturing teams, you'll deliver tailored component solutions, manage complex customer requirements and support projects from initial enquiry through to delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and develop a portfolio of existing aerospace accounts, building trusted, long-term relationships.
Identify and win new business opportunities across civil and defence aerospace markets.
Generate quotations, negotiate commercial terms and convert enquiries into orders.
Act as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring exceptional service throughout the sales cycle.
Collaborate with internal teams to deliver bespoke component sourcing, manufacturing and integrated solutions.
Develop account growth strategies, maximise customer spend and identify cross-selling opportunities.
Maintain an active sales pipeline using CRM, providing accurate forecasting and reporting.
Represent the business at customer meetings, industry events and trade exhibitions where required.
Monitor market activity, competitor trends and emerging opportunities within the aerospace sector.
About You
Previous sales or account management experience within aerospace, aviation or a technical engineering environment.
Strong relationship-building and commercial negotiation skills.
Comfortable managing key accounts while proactively developing new business.
Ability to understand technical products and communicate effectively with both commercial and engineering stakeholders.
Organised, self-motivated and capable of managing multiple priorities.
Proficient with CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
