Job Description:

We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Chef to join our team.You will play a key role in delivering high-quality catering services, preparing and serving meals to the highest standards, and ensuring excellent customer satisfaction.

Working as part of a collaborative catering team, you will support food preparation, cooking, presentation, service delivery, and food safety compliance while maintaining a clean, safe, and professional working environment.

What You'll Do:

Prepare, cook, and serve meals in accordance with approved recipes and menu specifications.
Ensure food is cooked, stored, and served at the correct temperatures.
Monitor and record temperatures of fridges, freezers, hot cabinets, and serving areas.
Support food preparation, presentation, storage, and disposal activities.
Assist with hot plate service and live cooking where required.
Maintain excellent standards of food hygiene, health and safety, and cleanliness.
Build and maintain positive relationships with customers and colleagues.
Assist with receiving, checking, and storing deliveries.
Report accidents, near misses, and faulty equipment promptly.
Complete opening, closing, and handover procedures in line with company requirements.
Attend team meetings, training sessions, and performance reviews as required.
Support the wider catering operation and undertake additional duties as directed by management.What You Bring:

Essential Requirements

Previous experience in a similar catering, hospitality, or food service role.
Relevant catering qualification such as NVQ Level 2 or 3, City & Guilds 706/1 and 706/2, HND, BSc Catering, or equivalent.
CIEH Level 2 Food Safety qualification (or equivalent).
Good knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and health and safety procedures.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standards and procedures.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.Desirable Requirements

Experience working within a military or defence environment.
IOSH qualification or equivalent.
Customer-facing experience.
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).What we offer:
