Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding role where you can make a genuine difference every day?
Academics are working with a welcoming and inclusive Primary School in Ashford that is seeking dedicated a Teaching Assistant to join their team from September on a full-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity to support pupils on a 1:1 basis, helping children with Special Educational Needs to thrive both academically and socially.
The school supports pupils with a range of additional needs, with a particular focus on Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN). You will play a key role in delivering personalised support, building positive relationships, and helping pupils access learning in a nurturing environment.
The Role
Full-time, Monday to Friday
September start
Providing 1:1 support for pupils with SEN
Supporting children with ASC and SLCN
Working closely with teachers and the SENCO to deliver tailored interventions
Encouraging independence, confidence, and positive engagement in learning
The Ideal Candidate
Has previous Teaching Assistant or SEN experience (experience supporting pupils with ASC is highly desirable)
Is patient, caring, and passionate about supporting children with additional needs
Holds an Enhanced DBS, or is happy to apply for one
Is available to work five days per week
Has excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Is reliable, proactive, and committed to helping every child reach their full potential
