SEN Teaching Assistant, Coventry. Long-Term Opportunities.

What you'll be doing

* Supporting pupils with SEN one to one and in small groups, helping them access learning and stay regulated.

* Building a consistent, trusting relationship with pupils who may take time to settle.

* Helping children stay calm and ready to learn across the school day.

* Following plans set by teachers, SENCOs and therapists, and feeding back on how each pupil is getting on.

* Supporting a range of needs, which can include autism, ADHD and SEMH.

* Taking on wider classroom support where it's needed.

What we're looking for

* A calm, patient manner and the ability to stay grounded when things are hard.

* At least six months' experience supporting children, ideally in a school setting.

* Strong communication with pupils, families and colleagues.

* A real commitment to children with SEN, including those with more complex needs.

* A degree in psychology or child development is advantageous, though it isn't essential.

* Whether you're a recent graduate or an experienced TA, you're encouraged to get in touch.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position is previous experience working in a school setting.
