Purchasing & Supply Chain Coordinator
Location: Hull, East Yorkshire
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 DOE
Job Type: Full Time | Permanent
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Purchasing & Supply Chain Coordinator to join a growing engineering business based in Hull.
Working closely with Operations, Project Managers, Service, Warehouse and Accounts, you'll be responsible for sourcing materials and subcontract services, managing supplier relationships, negotiating costs and ensuring materials are delivered on time to support projects and reactive works.
Key Responsibilities
Raise and manage purchase orders.
Source materials, equipment and subcontract services.
Obtain quotations and negotiate pricing.
Monitor supplier performance and deliveries.
Support project procurement and stock control.
Resolve supplier invoice queries.
Identify cost-saving opportunities and improve supplier performance.
About You
Essential:
Previous purchasing, buying or supply chain experience.
Strong negotiation and organisational skills.
Commercial awareness and attention to detail.
Experience using ERP or purchasing systems.
Good Microsoft Office skills.Desirable:
Engineering or manufacturing experience.
Simpro experience.
CIPS qualification (or working towards).
